Former South Carolina basketball star Devan Downey signed with a pro team in Turkey, according to a website in that country.
Turkbasket.com reported that the guard inked a contract with Antalya, which also signed former Tennessee forward Wayne Chism.
Downey and Chism were teammates on the Sacramento Kings' NBA summer league team earlier this month in Las Vegas.
Downey averaged 4.8 points, 3.0 assists and 2.4 rebounds in five games for the Kings, who apparently decided to look elsewhere to fill their need for point guard depth.
The Chester native's 5-9 height makes him a long shot for the NBA, despite his college success.
