Two men killed when cars fall
MOUNT PLEASANT -- Two men were killed in separate incidents when the cars they were working on fell on them. An Audi S8 slipped off a jack around 8 p.m. Saturday, killing a 30-year-old man in his driveway on Arlington Drive, Charleston County Chief Deputy Coroner Judy Koelpin said. On Friday afternoon, a 43-year-old Mount Pleasant man died after a car fell on him.
Gary Anthony had a Mazda 626 up on two jacks, Koelpin said. He appeared to have been trying to raise one of the jacks when the car slipped and came down on his chest, she said.
