Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital has been designated a primary stroke center by The Joint Commission. It is one of seven certified centers in South Carolina.

Vera Ford, a marketing and communications consultant, has joined the Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy's board of directors.

David Kent, broker in charge of The Real Buyer's Agent, has been named secretary and treasurer for the S.C. Realtor Education Foundation.

Patterson Smith of the Patterson Smith Co. has been named Commercial Realtor of the Year by the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors' Commercial Investment Division.

Attorneys Mary E. Sharp of Griffith, Sadler & Sharp, Molly Craig of Hood Law Firm and D. Jay Davis Jr. of Young Clement Rivers have been inducted into the Charleston chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Also, elected as chapter officers were: M. Dawes Cooke Jr. of Barnwell Whaley Patterson & Helms, president; George J. Kefalos, president-elect; Ned Tupper of Tupper Grimsley & Dean, vice president; and E. Douglas Pratt-Thomas of Pratt-Thomas Walker, secretary and treasurer.

R. Milton Thomas III of Anchor Commercial| CORFAC International represented the landlord, Tideland Industrial Park LLC, in the leasing of a 5,000-square-foot building at 411 E. 5th North Street in Summerville to Ecoscape Solutions Group Inc.

Robert Pratt of Re/MAX Pro Realty represented the landlord, Greenwave Properties LLC, and tenant, Adventure In Travel, in the leasing of 1,296 square feet at 141-C N. Main St. in Summerville.

The Barkley Co. LLC represented the landlord, Town Hall Center LP, in the leasing of 1,350 square feet of office space at 941 Houston Northcutt Blvd. in Mount Pleasant to Freeman & Hricik Law Firm.
