Benefit for ECCO

Oysters are everywhere this time of year. And with their deliciousness comes charitableness. This time, it's the Daniel Island Property Owners' Association, which has partnered with East Cooper Community Outreach to present the annual Daniel Island Oyster Roast.

The roast will be 5-8 p.m. Feb. 20 at Pierce Park Pavilion. Proceeds benefit ECCO, an organization that helps locals in need and provides emergency disaster relief.

Tickets to the event are $32 for adults (ages 18 and older); $10 for children ages 4-17; and ages 3 and under get in free. The menu will include steamed local oysters, chili, hot dogs, mac and cheese, beer, wine and soft drinks. The ticket price covers beer, wine, oysters, food and entertainment. There also will be lots of entertainment such as live music, fitness games and field events for kids and adults, as well as a photo booth.
