The Charleston chapter of the American Marketing Association recently recognized marketing campaigns in South Carolina, with Spark Awards going to several firms and one individual.
Entries were judged on the ability to show results through defined objectives, strategies and tactics, according to the association. This year's entries were judged by the AMA chapter in Reno-Tahoe, Nev.
The recipients were:
--Departure Media Marketer of the Year: Krista Robertson, interactive marketing manager at Roper St. Francis Healthcare.
--Fuse Award, for excellence in creating a buzz around a typically mundane product, service or event: Obviouslee Marketing for Complete Building's "Race to End Waste."
--The Firecracker Award for excellence in interactive media: Roper St. Francis Healthcare for the Uterine Fibroid Campaign.
--The Torch Award for marketing excellence in the nonprofit sector: Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center for "I Believe."
--The Dynamite Award for marketing excellence for an event: Cognetix for "Shopping With Friends"
--The Pyrotechnics Award for excellence in business: Rawle Murdy for Wild Dunes Resort's "Stay More, Save More."
