OCCUPATION: Activities coordinator, Department of Cadet Activities, The Citadel.

FAMILY: Husband, Steve Milner; two horses, two dogs and 3½ cats. The ½ is a rescued baby.

EDUCATION: B.S. from the College of Charleston with majors in sociology and anthropology.

TALENTS/HOBBIES: Animals, being outside, riding and training horses, boating and playing with cadets. I'm very social.

BIGGEST CHARLESTON COUNTY ISSUE: Overdevelopment, development on Johns Island.

SOMETHING IMPORTANT LIFE HAS TAUGHT ME: I always treat people the same way whether they are the queen of England or a homeless man on the street. I treat everyone the same until they give me a reason not to do so.

ACCOMPLISHMENT OF WHICH I AM MOST PROUD: Working at The Citadel with the cadets. I help them think through things. I started Charleston's first chapter of Operation Homefront (www.operationhomefront.net).

PET PEEVES: Rudeness and the sense of entitlement.

PERSON I ADMIRE MOST: My mother. She is a very strong person.

WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE: A forensic pathologist. I loved the TV show 'Quincy M.E.'

IF I WON THE LOTTERY, I WOULD: Donate half to Cadet Activities as our budget has been cut by 75 percent.
