The deadline for applying to receive gifts from this year's Toys for Tots campaign is Saturday.
Individuals can sign up at the Toys for Tots "toy factory" in Northwoods Mall, across from Chick-fil-A near the entrance to Sears.
Applications will be taken 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and noon-5 p.m. Saturday.
Applicants need to bring:
--Picture identification for themselves.
--Social Security card and birth certificates for all children applying for.
--Proof of residence (phone bill, light bill, etc.).
--Two phone numbers.
Children to age 15 can receive toys.
Toys for Tots, which accepts only new, unwrapped toys, is one of the oldest programs in the nation that helps families in need, and has been helping families in the Charleston area for more than 50 years.
The program is run locally by the Marine Corps Reserve, Charleston.
