Six-vehicle wreck stalls traffic on I-526 - again
A wreck involving two tractor-trailers and four cars has left Interstate 526 at a standstill for the second day in a row.
Authorities say the wreck is in the eastbound lanes near the Wando Bridge. Two people have been taken to local hospitals.
Traffic is backed up almost to Interstate 26.
The Highway Patrol is asking motorists to avoid the area and to use the Ravenel Bridge instead.
"We are trying to open up a lane as quickly and as safely as we can," Lance Cpl. Bob Beres said.
