Session offered on disabilities act

Pattison's Academy for Comprehensive Education will host a training session for parents on the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Individualized Education Program advocacy for students with disabilities.

The training will be at 6 p.m. April 14 in the main auditorium of the county library at 68 Calhoun St.

Pattison's Academy hopes to open as a charter school in Charleston County in the fall 2010 and serve 30 students between kindergarten and eighth grade who have profound disabilities. For more information, call 849-6707.
