Richmond held off a frantic College of Charleston rally for a 74-72 victory over the Cougars in the second round of the College Basketball Invitational Monday at Robins Center.

Charleston managed to whittle a 13-point down to 2, but that was as close as the Cougars got. Charleston finished its season at 27-9 while Richmond is now 20-15.

Jermaine Johnson led Charleston with 15 points and 7 rebounds, while Dustin Scott scored 14 points and had nine rebounds.
