A Classic Cruise-In sponsored by Lowcountry Mopars will be held 6-8:30 p.m. at Applebee's, 1310 N. Main Street (U.S. Highway 17A) in Summerville. Classes include trucks; Corvettes; Mustangs; street rods; import/tuner; and years 1900-63, 1964-74 and 1975-2008. Entry fee is $5 per vehicle. The Lowcountry Corvair Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Ryan's Family Steak House, 7321 Rivers Ave. in North Charleston. All Corvair owners and enthusiasts are invited. The Spring Warm-Up all-Corvair Car Show sponsored by Central Carolina CORSA will take place at the Sea Mist Resort, 1200 S. Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. Events include a car corral, oldies music, poker run and rally, valve cover racing, model and toy Corvair show and swap meet. Vendors are free with show registration. The 21st annual Run To The Sun collector car show, presented by the Pee Dee Street Rodders, will be held at Waccamaw Factory Shoppes off U.S. Highway 501 in Myrtle Beach. This is by far the largest collector car show in the state, with vehicle participation annually topping 2,000 pre-1989 cars and trucks. Registration begins at 8 a.m. on all three days. The main show is Saturday. Registration is $35 before March 9, $40 after that date. Free admission for spectators. Show proceeds benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Children's Miracle Network, the Sara Goodwin Memorial Foundation, and the Horry County Sheriff's Department's Benevolent Fund. The Southern Drag Racing Association will hold its 25th Annual Car Show 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Texas Road House/Super Kmart parking lot at 8571 Rivers Ave., North Charleston. Rain date will be March 22nd. The event will have race cars, Junior dragsters, street cars, street rods and import cars. There will be music, vendors and drawings. Admission is free. All proceeds will be donated to Camp Happy Days, "Kids Kickin Cancer." Association members will also present a Car Show Preview. It will be 7-10 p.m. March 20 at Hooters Restaurant. Charleston-Lowcountry Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America will host its first car show of the season at Joe Bessinger's Bar BQ on College Park Road in Summerville. The show is 6-8:30 p.m. Registration is $5. Classes include years 1900-42, 1943-59, 1960-1972 and 1973-2008; Corvettes; imports; lowrider/tuners; motorcycles; Mustangs; street rods; and trucks. Apr. 18

Coastal Carolina Corvette Club will present its second annual "'Vettes Doin Charleston" all-Corvette show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show will take place at the Tanger Outlet Center parking lot off International Boulevard in North Charleston. Registration will be 10 a.m.- noon, awards at 3 p.m. The registration fee is $20 but pre-registration up to April 4 includes a show T-shirt. There's also a "scored judged" show for an extra $5 registration fee. The event will have 10 classes including years 1953-62, 1963-67, 1968-82, 1984-90, 1991-96, 1997-2000, 2001-04, 2005-09, C5 ZO6 and C6 ZO6. The Battle of Blue Annual Fun Run & Cruise In will be held at Colleton County High School in Walterboro. First cruisers are out at 10 a.m., last cruiser out at noon. The last stop will be a cruise through the Veterans Victory House. Entry fee is $15, and $5 for each additional car. Chicken dinner included. Street Rods Unlimited Inc. of Charleston will present the 16th annual Super Santee Saturday at Santee Outlets, Interstate 95 at Highway 6 (Exit 98). Registration is 8-11:30 a.m., show is 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Awards ceremony at 3 p.m. Trophies for top 40. Show will be held rain or shine. Pre-registration deadline is April 18. The Palmetto Region of the Porsche Club of America will hold it's first "Rally For The Blind," a time, speed and distance rally with blind navigators who read braille. The rally will be from Charleston to Santee. The club is looking for entrants from all car clubs. As registration fills up, the club will be matching drivers with navigators from members of the National Federation of the Blind of South Carolina. A lunch and T-shirt will be included at the finish at Clark's restaurant in Santee. Registration deadline is March 31. The all inclusive cost for the event is $50. The 18th annual Spring Spin Off car show will be held at Trident Technical College's main campus on Rivers Avenue. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Further details will be forthcoming.
