Porter-Gaud basketball star Khris Middleton committed to Texas A&M on Thursday over South Carolina and others, his father said.
"He felt very comfortable on our visit," James Middleton said. "He loved that college town atmosphere. He really liked the coaches. He just felt comfortable there and didn't want to hold off on his decision. He's going to fill a need they are going to have."
The 6-7 riding senior also strongly considered USC and received an offer from the Gamecocks earlier this month while on an unofficial visit. He also had offers from Charlotte, the College of Charleston, Nebraska, Fordham, James Madison and SMU. Last season, Middleton averaged 21 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.
