MONCKS CORNER BASEBALL TRYOUTS: There will be tryouts for the Moncks Corner Mavericks 15U travel team and possibly a 14U team at Berkeley High School baseball field on April 20. Tryouts begin at 4 p.m. Bring your bat and glove.

PITCHING AND HITTING CLINICS: Pitching and hitting clinics for softball on two dates in April. Our pitching clinic will be held on April 21 from 6-8 p.m. The hitting clinic is scheduled for April 28 also from 6-8 p.m. Cost for the camp is $40 ($30 for PLS members). MOUNT PLEASANT T-BALL AND MACHINE PITCH REGISTRATION: Registration for the Mt. Pleasant Rec Dept.'s T-ball and machine pitch leagues opens April 21. T-ball is offered for boys and girls ages 5-6 (as of Jan. 1, 2009) and machine pitch is open for ages 7-8 (boys' age as of Aug. 1, 2008 and girls' age as of Jan. 1, 2009). MOUNT PLEASANT RECREATION UNIFIED SPRING SOFTBALL REGISTRATION: Youth with or without disabilities are encouraged to play together on the same softball team through the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department's Unified Athletics program. WEZL/NORTH CHARLESTON RECREATION DEPARTMENT "RIDE TO THE RIVER": The North Charleston Rec Dept. and WEZL radio will sponsor their annual motorcycle "Ride to the River on May 4. Registration will be held in North Charleston Coliseum Parking Lot "E" from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Entry Fee is $10.00 per bike and $5.00 per passenger. The travel distance for the ride is 56 miles.
