Five handy Web applications, selected by the tech editors at Amazon.com:

Zamzar.com: We've written about Zamzar at F5 before. It's a freemium service (there's a free version, but the full deal will cost you) that converts media files to other formats.

Picnik.com: Need to crop and tone a snapshot? Here's another freemium service that gives you the power to do quick-and-dirty photo editing without expensive software.

Todoist.com: The editors tout this one as 'a Web application that basically functions as a personal assistant, or like a cloud of Post-It notes that follows you everywhere.' Which could be good or bad.

Xpenser.com: Here's our favorite, a new application that helps you keep track of your business and travel expenses from the road. File your expenses in any of a variety of ways: text message, e-mail, Instant Message, even call the Xpenser number and leave yourself a voice mail. When you get back to the office, your expenses are ready to edit.

Amazon Filler Item Finder (www.filleritem.com): So you're shopping on Amazon but your order is just under the $25 limit that gets you Super Saver free shipping. You could use this widget to find something to put you just over the limit. About $2 short? Get a Shrek Practical Joke kit or an Egg Yolky 96035 Egg Separator (both $1.99).
