Registration begins at S'ville Catholic
Summerville Catholic School, 226 Black Oak Blvd., is holding registration for the 2008-09 school year as well as its full-day summer camp.
The school, which serves children in K4-8, provides before- and after-school care. The school also sponsors a variety of athletic, academic and extracurricular activities.

Pilates center grand opening
SUMMERVILLE — Core Essentials Pilates, 129 Central Ave., will host a grand opening 5-8 p.m. March 20.
Door prizes will be offered and live music will be performed by John Venable. Refreshments will be provided by The EcLectic Chef.
Library will be closed for Easter
The Dorchester County Library and the book returns will be closed March 23 for Easter. Fines will not be assessed for the day the book returns are closed.
The library and the book returns will reopen March 24 at regular hours.
The library and book returns will also be closed April 4 for a staff development workshop, and will reopen April 5.
Annual Spring Fling downtown Saturday
SUMMERVILLE — The annual Historic Downtown Merchants Association Spring Fling is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday
White Rhino will play live music at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Short Central. A scavenger hunt will take place in 15 downtown stores and restaurants, and the winner takes home a gift basket filled with items and gift certificates from participating businesses.
Scavenger hunt maps will be available in The Post and Courier and in stores. All stores will also feature specials and demonstrations.

Free workshop on sleep problems
A free workshop is set for 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Mother Nature Wellness Center, 10040 Dorchester Road, Suite 1, to explore insomnia, restless legs syndrome and difficulty falling asleep/staying asleep.
Participants in the Foundation of Wellness Professionals forum will gain an understanding of causes of these disorders and learn nondrug solutions. Guest speaker will be Dr. Gina Colucci.

Ecumenical service Sunday in S'ville
The annual Summerville Palm Sunday Ecumenical Service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Summerville Presbyterian Church.
Invited churches include St. Luke's Lutheran, St. John the Beloved, Summerville Baptist, First Missionary Baptist, Epiphany Episcopal, St. Paul's Reformed Episcopal, Wesley United Methodist and Bethel AME.
Summerville Presbyterian will provide ushers. All churches will bring palms to Summerville Presbyterian Church. Participating churches bring choirs and a banner from the congregation.
Participants process from the event singing "All Glory Laud and Honor." Regular services follow at home churches.
