Glenn Smith is a veteran crime reporter who joined The Post and Courier's staff in 1999. He is a native of Connecticut and a graduate of UConn (though before they were any good in basketball). He has been a working journalist for more than 20 years and has won numerous state, regional and national awards, including being named a two-time winner of the Taylor-Tomlin Award for Investigative Reporting. He writes about crime, mayhem and any number of quirky subjects. He is a music fiend, an avid guitar player and a unrepentant beer snob. He lives in Charleston with his wife and their daughter.
