Charles R. Rowe, editorial page editor, has worked in newspapers since 1974 as a photographer, reporter, news desk editor and Washington correspondent. He wrote “Pages of History: 200 Years of the Post and Courier” (2003) and edited “Ashley Cooper’s Doing the Charleston,” (1993) a collection of Frank B. Gilbreth Jr.’s newspaper columns. He is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of Appalachian State University. He and his wife, Marie Thrower, live on James Island. They have two grown sons.
