Jeremy Borden comes to the Post and Courier’s statehouse bureau in Columbia from The Washington Post, where he covered the National Spelling Bee, Hurricane Sandy, and all manner of local politics and crime in Northern Virginia. Borden grew up near Chicago but moved to Charlotte, N.C., for high school and claims both places as home. Borden has previously worked for The Daily Progress in Charlottesville, Va., The Roanoke Times and The Charlotte Observer. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA) and American University (MA).
