October 07, 2013 Wannamaker County Park in North Charleston again hosted the Latin American Festival on Sunday. Attendees celebrated all things Latin American, from culture and food to dance and music. Folks dug into food offerings from the likes of Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean, as well as a variety of the more traditional festival foods. Throughout the day, people enjoyed music from the Atlanta Show Band, Orquesta Mayor and DJ Luigi Bravo of Latin Groove Charleston and dance performances by Capoeira Charleston, Buen Ache Dance Company and The Grooveminis. Families took advantage of the kid’s area, complete with jump castles, rides and crafts, and enjoyed browsing and buying from local artisans who had their wares on display.
