By Jim Miller: Taken on Hobcaw Creek in Mount Pleasant.
By Becca Hyatt-Hall. This is his impression of Slash. Hence the "top hat."
By Sally S. Howard: My son was injured in Afghanistan by a suicide bomber. Walking into my son's hospital room for the first time - being able to hold him, to see with my own eyes that he had all his limbs, to hear his jokes, and to know that he would recover - is the happiest moment in my life. Most people looking at this picture without an explanation would probably not understand why this picture would be submitted as a "happiest moment". It is to have your loved one, when you could have lost them. I submitted this picture to honor and celebrate anyone who has had a loved one recover from injury in a war, an accident, act of violence or recover from a serious and life threatening illness or disease. It was taken in Madigan Hospital on the Ft. Lewis Army Base, WA.
By Heather Crosby-Bedenbaugh: While I have been blessed with many happy moments, this stands out! I had not only just been married, but had received the obligatory sword swat to the bum welcoming me to the Citadel and USMC family. This was taken 7/21/07 at the Summerall Chapel at The Citadel.
By Galatia Crew: My dad, mom and brothers standing with my aunt and cousin who are visiting from Colorado Springs. At Waterfront Park.
By Shawn Smetana: The Blackhawks win the Stanely Cup! I celebrate in silence as Paxton sleeps.
By Jan Kinsman: The single happiest moment was when Joseph and I got married this year. Jan and Joseph Kinsman, North Charleston, SC Ages: 71 and 76.
By Lawson Hardee: With Lee Morrison in Georgetown, SC at the Debutante Ball (A.K.A "Cotillion")
By Ryan Nelson: When my daughter Grayson smiled.
By Angie Bridges: This photo was taken at the historic Embassy Suites, downtown Charleston by Terry Fowler with Carolina Wedding Photographers. She has captured our journey from engagements, bridals, wedding and the birth of our daughter, Hannah. It was truly a dream wedding for us and when our daughter came along - what a true blessing. We are Soulmates.
By Phyllis Cecchini Small: I took this photo at the Isle of Palms pier. I am in love with the ocean and everything it has to offer so I became a bit mesmerized when a storm was coming and was kicking up the waves against the pier. Anyway, I've lived in Mt. Pleasant for the past 12 years and I can't get enough of the beauty of this area!
By Geny Mayer-Moringlane. Catching the waves!
By Jo Singleton: My happiest moment is when I married my best friend, Paul Singleton. We live in Summerville, SC and this picture was taken at Azalea Park in Summerville. It truly captures the love we have for each other and all the happiness we found.
By Caroline Graham: College of Charleston Graduation Day! These three friends are all Education majors (and having just completed student teaching), cad in the traditional white dresses, and carrying red roses. Much to celebrate :)
By Kathy Plair: This is my first grandson, Walker, about 2 hours old at East Cooper Hospital in Mount Pleasant on Nov. 25, 2011.
By Rita Casner: My happiest moment is when I married my best friend Chris on April 28th 2012, on Folly Beach.
By Evan Wages: This is a picture taken by a nice passerby on Folly, during our 2 year stint living at the beach. A nice young lady was taking pictures and saw me and my family and took some photos and asked me for an email address to send them to. This was the best one. Me holding my little girl, Madison's hand walking with my wife, Jennifer.
