Hunter ending football career
Clemson sophomore linebacker Stanley Hunter has decided to give up his college football career.
The reserve linebacker suffers from epilepsy, a condition that causes seizures. Despite being medicated, the frequency of seizures had not been controlled.
The school has not yet made an official announcement, though Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said he was concerned about Hunter's health.
On the post-spring depth chart, Hunter was listed as the third-string middle linebacker and third-string weakside linebacker.
The former Byrnes High School star had 37 tackles as a true freshman last season.
