Police have released surveillance photos of a man they say held up a bank early Wednesday afternoon on University Boulevard in North Charleston.
The robbery was reported at the First Citizens Bank at 9205 University Blvd. The bank is across the street from Charleston Southern University.
A man entered the bank just before 1 p.m. and handed a note to a teller that demanded money, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said. He then left with some cash, Pryor said. The amount of stolen money had not been determined.
The robber was described as a black man who was between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet10 inches tall and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
