Trident Literacy Association's TC Drayton Center is now open longer hours to accommodate students who work during the day or who would also like to attend at night.
The center, at 472E Meeting St. in Charleston, is now open until 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
About 300 adults receive instruction annually at the center to learn skills to earn GEDs and WorkKeys Career Readiness certificates.
"This broadens our outreach to students who cannot come during the day, and allows even more instruction time for students who want to come the extra hours," said Executive Director Eileen Chepenik. "They will get the same kind of individualized attention as students who attend during the day."
Damon Fordham is the night-class instructor.
