Charleston police are investigating an armed robbery of the Family Dollar store on King Street.
Authorities were called to the store at 1015 King around 9 p.m. Monday concerning the robbery, according to an incident report.
A clerk told police that a man walked into the store, pointed a gun and demanded money from the register. The man then ran from the store with about $967, the report said.
A suspect had not been identified in the incident as of Tuesday afternoon. Anyone with information on the case can call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
