COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Santa was apparently right on target for Christmas for South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
"Our family had a wonderful Christmas together! I must have been good Santa gave me a Beretta PX4 Storm," she wrote.
The gift actually came from Haley's husband, Michael, and her spokesman said she couldn't wait to get out on the range and fire it.
The governor is no stranger to firearms. She has a concealed weapons permit, and Beretta says on its website that the gun and its 16-round capacity is well-suited for concealed carry. The gun sells for around $550.
In July, Haley made the rounds on social media after a one-minute edited video from her office of her touring a Columbia gun maker ended with clips of her shooting two handguns, an assault rifle and a machine gun.
That tour was closed to reporters, but she did talk to them outside.
"I did get a chance to fire a gun a few, quite few. It was a good time. It was a good stress reliever ... and I did it in heels," Haley said.
