A North Charleston man and woman were arrested on meth charges Monday after somebody reported suspicious chemicals in their trash can.
Catherine Deloris Hutson, 29, and Steven Michael James, 28, both of Dublin Road, are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and disposal of waste from production of methamphetamine.
Officers were called to 3321 Dublin Road shortly before noon to check out the trash can and found a bottle consistent with cooking meth, police spokesman Spencer Pryor said. Officers questioned Hutson and James. Hutson told officers she and her boyfriend, James, were cooking meth Sunday night in Goose Creek and brought the chemicals back to the North Charleston house to cook some more, Pryor said.
Hutson and James were being held Monday in the Charleston County jail.
Steven Michael James, 28, of Dublin Road is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and disposal of waste from production of methamphetamine.×
