Hewitt has baby girl after quiet wedding
NEW YORK — Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and her “The Client List” co-star Brian Hallisay are the proud parents of a baby girl.
Hewitt’s publicist Sarah Fuller said in an email statement the couple is “thrilled” over Tuesday’s birth of Autumn James Hallisay.
The couple is also celebrating being newlyweds. Fuller says they were recently married but did not provide further details.
“The Client List” was recently canceled by Lifetime after its second season. Hewitt and Hallisay played husband and wife.
Street signs honor 1st woman police officer
OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — The city of Olive Branch has dedicated a strip of Mississippi Highway 305 to Lt. Vicky Baldwin, the city’s first woman police officer.
Baldwin retired from the police department in 2007 after serving 22 years, two as a dispatcher and 20 as an officer.
She died Feb. 11, 2011, after surgery.
The Commercial Appeal reports that two signs were installed along Mississippi Highway 305 between Church and College roads to memorialize Baldwin — one facing southbound and the other northbound.
Marie Baldwin, Baldwin’s daughter, says officials told her shortly after her mother died that they would try to get a section of road dedicated to the first woman officer.
Police Chief Don Gammage says Vicky Baldwin was part of a six-officer department including a chief when she started.
