For holiday travelers, Charleston International has rolled out an online resource to guide them through the temporary construction zone at the state’s busiest airport.
The website, www.chs-trip.com, was launched in September. It’s designed to help passengers find out what’s going on with the $189 million redevelopment project and plan accordingly to avoid delays and navigate the building.
The website can be reached at chsfreewifi inside the terminal.
It features work alerts as well as an overview of the two-year construction plan, progress reports, a timeline, photos, contact information and a video.
Airport official are advising holiday passengers to arrive early for the best parking.
Statewide, air travel is expected ot be down 1 percent from last year, to about 44,000 passengers, according to AAA Carolinas.
