A Charleston man accused of breaking into a King Street business is also accused of biting a man that stopped him from getting away, according to Charleston Police.
Franswor Q. Grant, 29, of Line Street, was charged with second-degree burglary and first-degree assault and battery, according to court records.
On Friday at 11:26 p.m. a group of men, who were standing in front of a restaurant on King Street, heard glass shatter across the street, according to an incident report.
The group saw a man, later identified as Grant, going into a business through a broken window, the report stated. The men ran across the street and saw Grant walking down the stairs and chased him to John Street, according to the report.
During the struggle, one man told police Grant bit him on the stomach and arm, the report stated.
