Charleston is an artsy town, a mini-mecca of music, theater, dance and visual arts. It draws talented people from all over and presents them on stages, in private homes, in galleries, parks and commercial spaces.
Each week, The Post and Courier publishes articles, briefs and calendar listings.
To supplement those offerings, we are introducing a new video feature called “Making a Scene.”
It is meant to showcase local talent, shining a spotlight on performers generous enough to provide a sampling of their work.
And it provides a new platform that connects artists with Post and Courier readers.
These are short performance videos.
Most are only a couple of minutes long, but all of them convey something essential about the human experience as expressed through art.
In the months to come, you can view performances by actors, musicians, dancers and even visual artists.
Go to postandcourier.com to watch our first “Making a Scene” video, featuring a snippet from Midtown Productions’ “On Golden Pond,” now running at The Charleston Acting Studio, 915 Folly Road, James Island.
A new video will be posted every few weeks.
