East Cooper Montessori Charter School’s sixth-grade Montessori Model United Nations participants will host a screening of “My So-Called Enemy” as a fundraiser.
The film screening will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Cinebarre theater in Mount Pleasant. “My So-Called Enemy” is the story of six Palestinian and Israeli girls who participated in a cultural exchange program, and the film documents how their lives were changed by coming to know their “enemies” as peers and friends.
Proceeds will go to the school’s delegates who plan to travel to New York in April for a conference. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for children. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your ticket.
Two students from Academic Magnet High School who will introduce the film and facilitate a question and answer session after the movie.
The film is recommended for children in fifth grade or higher.
