Authorities are investigating the armed robbery of a West Ashley Subway store Friday night.

About 9 p.m., deputies responded to the store at 3750 Savannah Highway for a report of a robbery, Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said in a news release.

Deputies were told two black males, one of them brandishing a shotgun, entered the business and demanded money.

Both men fled on foot, heading toward Bee’s Ferry Road. The Charleston Police Department responded with a K-9 unit, which tracked a trail away from the store toward Bee’s Ferry Road, where the track ended, Brady said in the release,

One suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall and the other is 5 feet 3 inches, the release said.

Both men were wearing “Scream” type Halloween masks, black hoodies and white tennis shoes.
