Streets near St. John’s High to be closed Friday afternoon for Homecoming parade

A few Johns Island streets will be closed between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Friday for St. John’s High School’s Homecoming parade.

The parade, sponsored by the school’s Student Government Association and themed “Sailing The Seas,” will begin at Haut Gap Middle School on Bohicket Road and will process down Main Road to St. John’s High School. Student and community groups will be featured in this year’s parade.

Main Road at Chisolm Road, as well as the intersections of Main Road at Maybank Highway and Bohicket Road, will be closed to vehicle traffic stopped between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
