Pet Helpers’ annual Fur Ball raised nearly $150,000 Saturday night, the shelter announced Monday.
The dinner and live auction was held at the Charleston Marriott. Items sold in the auction included a six-day African safari, two tickets to BMW 101 at the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg and a weeklong stay for six at the Crane Resort in Barbados.
The money is used to house, feed and treat animals at the shelter on Folly Road.
