NOTABLE: Timberland can take a big step toward another Region 7-AA championship with a victory over a foe it has dominated in the past five years. The Wolves’ defense has allowed only 14 points in the last two games. Lake Marion beat Lee Central last week to end a modest two-game losing streak.
KEEP AN EYE ON: Timberland LB/RB Bernard Harmon. He had 10 tackles, including two for a loss in a win over Lake City. He also had 24 carries for 200 yards and a TD.

Hanahan (7-0, 2-0) at James Island (1-6, 0-2)
LAST YEAR: Hanahan won, 30-10.

NOTABLE: Hanahan has the No. 2 ranking in the state and is in the driver’s seat for the Region 8-AAA championship heading into the tussle with the Trojans. James Island, which is averaging 21.2 points a game, must solve a Hawk defense that has allowed only 8.2 points a game.
KEEP AN EYE ON: James Island quarterback Ty Stubbs. He has passed for eight touchdowns and scored six more running the football.

Ridgeland-Hardeeville (5-2, 4-0) at Woodland (7-0, 4-0)
LAST YEAR: Woodland won, 54-12.
COACHES: Blake Raley, Ridgeland-Hardeeville; Mathis Burnette, Woodland.
NOTABLE: Woodland, ranked No. 4 in Class AA in the latest media poll, has back-to-back Region 6-AA heavyweights on the schedule with Ridgeland-Hardeeville and then Bishop England next week. The Wolverines remain one of the most productive teams in the state, averaging 42.5 points a game. The Wolverines have won their last five games by double digits.
KEEP AN EYE ON: Woodland quarterback Drake King. He passed for 199 yards and four TDs in a win over Battery Creek last week and added 148 yards rushing.
