SUMMERVILLE — Dorchester County leaders will talk money with the legislative delegation Monday.
The meeting takes place 5 p.m. in County Council chambers at the human services building, 500 N. Main St., Summerville.
Dorchester School District 2, the town of Summerville, Dorchester County Council and the county Sales Tax Transportation Authority members are scheduled to make presentations.
A public comment session also is on the agenda.
The delegation, comprised of the state elected officials who represent at least a portion of the county, usually holds the meeting twice per year. State Rep. Chris Murphy is chairman.
Relations between local and state officials have been strained in recent years because of state cutbacks to state-mandated programs that saddled local governments with more of the costs.
