Firefighters Friday morning battled a blaze at a Goose Creek home, authorities said.

Crews with the Goose Creek Rural Fire Department were called at around 3:45 a.m. to Milton Drive for flames that spread through a two-story house, according to authorities.

The fire began in the garage of the home, according to fire officials. No one was injured, but the damage was extensive, fire officials said. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

The home is in the St. James Estates subdivision off Foster Creek Road.

Hanahan and City of Goose Creek firefighters assisted, authorities said.
