A woman was arrested Thursday by North Charleston police for allegedly shoplifting from several stores at Northwoods Mall and Tanger Outlet.
Tenisha Shamon Gibbs, 26, of Pine Walk Court in North Charleston, is charged with three counts of trespass after notice and one count of property crime enhancement.
Police were called to Victoria’s Secret at Northwoods Mall at about 10 p.m. Thursday to investigate an incident in which nearly $450 in perfume and cologne was stolen, according to an incident report.
A store employee identified the suspect by name and said she been stealing items from the store for weeks, police said.
When officers went to Gibbs’ home, they saw several bags of Victoria’s Secret merchandise, according to the report. Armed with a search warrant, they found items from eight other stores in the apartment, the report stated.
Gibbs was being held at the Charleston County Detention Center on Friday in lieu of $10,940 bail, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
