The Charleston area could face shallow coastal flooding this evening.
The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flooding advisory from 6 to 10 p.m. for low-lying areas.
Tide levels are expected to peak at around 7.3 feet in Charleston Harbor, leading to potential road closures and flooding of properties.
The Weather Service reminds motorists not to try to drive through water of unknown depth.
