The driver that crashed into two motorcyclists who were killed on Monday in Orangeburg County has been charged with driving under the influence, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol officials.
Sean Aston, 21, of Columbia was charged with two counts of felony DUI and no South Carolina driver’s license, according to officials.
Aston was driving south when he crossed the center line and struck the two people driving separate motorcycles, said Trooper Bridget Wyant.
It occurred on U.S. Highway 21 near Wire Road at 7 p.m., she said.
Aston was hospitalized with unknown injuries. His passenger, a 20-year-old female from Lake Wylie, was not injured, officials said.
