A driver was charged after a woman was fatally struck by a car at Northwoods Mall Tuesday morning.
The woman, who has not been identified by authorities, was leaving the Belk department store when she was hit by a car in the crosswalk around 11 a.m., according to North Charleston police.
Raymond R. Clement, 32, of Aiken Street in Charleston, was charged with reckless homicide, according to police spokesman Spencer Pryor. He is being held in the Charleston County jail.
