A woman was found safe in the marsh Sunday after authorities searched the Ashley River for her for about an hour.

Two women jumped off a dock behind 31 Devereaux St. about 3 p.m.

The current carried them away from the dock and one woman climbed out at another dock and call 911 after she could not locate her friend.

The Coast Guard, North Charleston police, the City of Charleston Fire Department, Charleston County dive team and others searched for about an hour by air, land and water for the 27-year-old before she was found at about 4:30 p.m. unharmed in the marsh, according to the Charleston Fire Department.
