Drugs and a pistol round were taken from a West Ashley apartment Thursday, according to Charleston police.
A dozen officers carried out a search warrant at 1510 North Avalon Circle, an apartment complex off Orange Grove Road, at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Ranard Simmons, 39, of Wesley Holmes Road on Johns Island was detained in front of the apartment, and Quinesha Grant, 32, and three children were escorted from the apartment, according to the incident report.
A dozen officers confiscated a Win 9 mm Luger round, two empty 9 mm magazines, 14 grams of a white powder that field tested positive for cocaine, a digital scale, a marijuana cigarette, 2 grams of a green leafy plant that tested positive for marijuana in a baggie in a kitchen drawer, 3 ounces of a green leafy plant that tested positive for marijuana in a kitchen cabinet, a bottle of creatine on a kitchen shelf and two televisions, according to the report.
Grant and Simmons were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and three counts of unlawful conduct toward a child.
They were being held Friday in the Charleston County jail.
