A tip from a citizen led to an arrest in a James Island burglary earlier this month.
Brandon Tyrene Johnson, 25, of Ben Road was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree burglary. He is a suspect in an Aug. 8 burglary on Sage Road, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
Police, Charleston county deputies, the State Law Enforcement Division and U.S. Marshals are working together to solve recent house and car break-ins on James Island and in West Ashley, Francis said. Johnson was arrested after a tip from a citizen, he said.
Johnson was being held Friday in the Charleston County jail.
