FAYETTEVILLE — Detectives with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the discovery of a body at a recycling plant in Fayetteville.
A statement from the sheriff’s office said investigators were called to Pratt Industries Thursday morning after an employee reported seeing a body lying in a pile of cardboard boxes.
The partially decomposed body appeared to be a female. The remains were to be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh for identification.
