Gov. Nikki Haley is scheduled to visit a farm in Dorchester County today to draw attention to problems caused by statewide flooding, her office said.
She is scheduled to tour Pendarvis Farms in Harleyville to survey the damage and talk about a request for disaster designation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The governor will be joined by state Agriculture Commissioner Hugh Weathers, USDA Farm Service Agency State Executive Director Harry L. Ott Jr. and South Carolina Farm Bureau representative Larry McKenzie.
Separately, Haley also is supposed to visit a North Charleston business that converts standard cars and trucks into armored vehicles. Her tour of the Streit USA Armoring factory on Palmetto Commerce Parkway was scheduled for Tuesday.
