James Island Connector open again after single-car wreck cleared
Traffic on the James Island Connector is moving again after a vehicle struck a retaining wall earlier this afternoon.
The wreck was reported in the lanes heading toward Charleston shortly after 2 p.m.
Charleston Police Cpl. Fred Bowie said one person was taken to a hospital after the vehicle struck a retaining wall. Police had to shut down traffic so the tow truck could access the wreck, Bowie said.
