Ex-banker publishes murder mystery
Part-time Charleston resident Steven Kohlhagen, a former Wall Street investment banker, has written a Western murder mystery based on true events.
“Where They Bury You,” published by Sunstone Press, takes place during the Civil War battles in the New Mexico and Arizona territories.
When he is not in the Lowcountry, Kohlhagen spends his time in the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado. His book, $32.95 for the hardcover, $24.95 for the paperback and $9.99 for the ebook, will be released Sept. 2.

Cassandra King to sign copies of ‘Moonrise’
Author Cassandra King will sign copies of her new novel “Moonrise” at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Towne Centre Barnes & Noble in Mount Pleasant.
“Moonrise,” published by Maiden Lane Press, is a modern gothic tale inspired by Daphne du Maurier’s classic “Rebecca.” It is King’s fifth novel.
King lives in Beaufort with her husband, Pat Conroy. The book will be in stores Sept. 3.
