A man was rescued this morning from a boat after it struck the south jetties in Charleston Harbor, according to U.S. Coast Guard officials. The 21-foot, center-console vessel struck the jetties around 8:45 a.m., officials said. Only one person was on board and he was picked up by rescue workers. The man had a small gash on his head and is receiving medical attention, officials said. The boat remains on the jetties and it’s the owner’s responsibility to have it removed, according to authorities.
