A Bamberg man has been charged with one count of murder, the State Law Enforcement Division said Saturday.
Tyrone Stroman Jr., 29, of Grits Road is being held at the Bamberg County Detention Center, SLED said.
SLED said the Bamberg Police Department requested that SLED investigate the shooting, which happened on Tuesday.
According to an arrest warrant, Stroman caused the death of Gene Anderson by shooting him with a firearm. Stroman came to a location on Broad Street where the victim and witnesses were playing cards, the warrant states.
After the shooting stopped, witnesses returned to the scene and saw Anderson lying face-down on the porch, the warrant states.
